National Weather Service officials said the cold snap is expected to continue.

LIVERMORE, CA — Following weeks of warm weather, temperatures across the East Bay plummeted this week. Livermore was among several Bay Area cities to break records Tuesday. Overnight lows in Livermore dipped to frigid 27 degrees, busting the 1942 record of 28 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The cold snap is predicted to continue in the Bay Area, with gusty winds expected late tonight through Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.
