Repurposed Radiance: Livermore Photo Of The Day
Livermore resident Yvonne Hahn shared some creative ways she's used reused old material.
LIVERMORE, CA — If you’ve got an old pair of jeans that don’t fit anymore, don’t throw them out. Give them to Livermore resident Yvonne Hahn, who will turn them into a beautiful bag. Same thing with wine corks: she’ll make a trivet for your teacup.
“I recently started using my creativity to re-purpose things that would be normally thrown away… old, used jeans, upholstery samples, used wine corks and such things,” she told Patch. “I really like the idea of giving new life to what would otherwise be tossed. Out of used jeans, upholstery samples, and other used fabrics, I create purses. I also make cork trivets out of used wine corks, and people seem to love them.”
