'The Secret Cave': Livermore Painting Of The Day

LIVERMORE, CA — "My art has been compared to a Rorschach test because you see images come forth as you stare at the work," said Phyllis Hoffman, who lived in Livermore from 1985 to 2003, and may return next year.

"Cheryl Kline, an artist who I admire and have taken class with her once told me, 'you are the only artist I have known who paints animals in rocks by the ocean.'" Hoffman told Patch.
