Police said the video is a good reminder to residents to lock all cars and to remove all valuables.
LIVERMORE, CA — Police in Livermore are investigating a report of an attempted theft from an unlocked car last week. Neighbors on Saddleback Circle say the suspect was captured on a home surveillance camera as he opened the door and looked through the car during the early morning hours on July 4.
Nothing was taken during the incident but residents said they noticed a suspicious vehicle driving through the neighborhood during the early morning hours in the days leading up to the incident.
Police said the video is a good reminder to residents to lock all cars and to remove all valuables from any vehicle before leaving it unattended. To help protect themselves, residents are also encouraged to sign up for vacation checks for their homes and register surveillance cameras with police.
