Shadow Puppet Brewing Hosts 'First Responders Appreciation Day'
The annual event is held in honor of first responders and their families.

LIVERMORE, CA — A fundraiser this weekend at a popular Livermore brewery will pay homage to local first responders and their families. This is the third year Shadow Puppet Brewing Company will host the first responders event, which will feature a barbecue, music and police displays.
The community is invited to stop by Shadow Puppet Brewing Company on Feb. 23 between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Owner Brian Blackburn said the brewery will serve "Thin Blueberry Line" wheat ale, which gives a nod to law enforcement's "thin blue line" and to honor firefighters, they will brew a special smoked amber ale aptly named "Embers." Proceeds will benefit the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
The brewery opened in 2016. They serve 21 beers, a variety snacks and feature a tasting room for adults and a kids' room. The Shadow Puppet Brewing Company is located at 4771 Arroyo Vista Ste. B in Livermore.
