Soul Food Restaurant Opens In Livermore
St. John's Soul Food, which offers Louisiana soul food, is hosting a grand opening on Saturday with discounts and live blues music.
LIVERMORE, CA — Valentine’s Day is bringing heart to Livermore, and St. John’s is bringing soul. St. John’s Soul Food has opened at the old location of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit at 1524 N. Vasco Road in Livermore.
The restaurant advertises itself as “authentic Louisiana soul food.” The menu offers a wide mix of Southern favorites, like gumbo and and rice, Louisiana ribs, Southern fried chicken, oxtail, po’ boys with fries, peach cobbler, “Big Mamma’s sweet tea,” blackeyed peas, and much more. Food can be ordered online and delivered.
The restaurant celebrated a soft opening last week, but will host a grand opening this Saturday. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live blues music from the Allen Vega Band featuring Miz Dee, and claim 50% off the second plate.
