Springtime At Last!

 Spring is in the air! (This means winter has finally arrived...) Seriously, has anybody in the Tri-valley EVER seen more peculiar weather? I certainly haven't, and I'm one hundred and fifty seven years old! Or so my knees keep telling me...

Anyway the thought was that this coldish blustery day in May might just be the perfect time to send a shout out from 'Foodnearu' to all you fine folks and foodies in Livermore.

In the seven, now going on eight months of our existence, 'Foodnearu' has gone from a budding little idea into an ever expanding essential. The product that we have put on the field -so to speak- is a viable, professional and vital component of our community. Funny but it feels like it was only last week that we teamed up with “The Riata Diner and Tavern” as our first client. As the food delivery service to any hotels in Livermore that had no restaurant or food service of their own, ‘Foodnearu’ was in the right place at the right time because almost all the hotel/motels in Livermore lack food service, delivery or otherwise. We were able to provide wonderful restaurant food service to an already large and captive audience immediately. For me personally, signing up “Riata” was really a bit of Karma. “The Riata Diner and Tavern” is and has been my favorite Livermore restaurant for a number of years. The food is great the Ribeye is the best in town, (especially for the price!!!) and they make the best burger you will EVER have! The fish, whatever they might be serving on any given night is ALWAYS FRESH, and delicious. And the coup de’ gras? “Riata” is the best bar in Alameda county! It’s sort of like “Cheers’ with a country theme. Everybody knows your name, the conversation is always lively, Victoria makes great cocktails and can be a wonderful psychiatrist when you need one…

As of this posting, ‘Foodnearu’ has partnered with over twenty restaurants in Livermore, and now we have expanded into Pleasanton, Dublin, and San Ramon. We represent a lot of really cool restaurants in every town without going into the corporate restaurant world. Our idea was and still is to represent the local flavor of each community we serve. Privately owned and operated restaurants ARE the communities, and ‘Foodnearu’ is proud of our association with every single one. We deliver to hotel/motels, any number of business offices, help stage corporate events, provide catering, public and private, and also happily deliver to private homes/residences.
