Livermore High Stabbing: 1 Student Injured, 1 Student Arrested
Police and fire crews responded to the stabbing, which was reported at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
LIVERMORE, CA — A student was injured during a stabbing at Livermore High School Tuesday afternoon, police officials said. The incident was reported at 600 Maple St. at about 3 p.m.
Officers responded to the school and arrested a juvenile, whose name was not released. Police said the second student suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police said the incident was isolated and that there was no danger or threat to others on the campus.

School officials notified parents about the incident by email, according to the district.
Dear Livermore High School Families,
The safety and well-being of students and staff are high priorities of Livermore High School and the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. A stabbing incident took place at LHS today that involved two students. The school administration, District administration, and the Livermore Police Department immediately responded.
One student was injured and is receiving medical attention. The other student is in police custody.
The incident took place at the end of the school day. All other students at Livermore High School are safe and have been excused from school.
We are thankful for the quick response by the Livermore Police Department. They are now handling the primary investigation of this matter. Our school officials are also conducting a thorough investigation.
Our staff is committed to providing support for any students who may need additional resources to deal with this situation. School counselors and administrators are available to respond to students and parents as needed.
