Man Accused Of Killing Livermore High School Student Arrested: LPD
A man accused of shooting a 16-year-old Livermore High student in 2019 was extradited to the United States and arrested.

LIVERMORE, CA - Livermore police have taken a 25-year-old suspect into custody on an outstanding warrant for the 2019 murder of 16-year-old Livermore High School student Emanuel Moseby.
Jorge Luis Tellez was identified as the sole suspect in the fatal shooting of Moseby at a Stanley Boulevard Taco Bell on July 8, 2019, according to a Livermore Police Department news release. Police allege that Tellez got into an argument with Moseby late that night, and shot him. Moseby died early the next morning, while Tellez fled for Mexico, where detectives believe he was hiding until he was extradited to the United States.
In October 2022, Mexican authorities arrested Tellez on a warrant, and detained him for several months before he was extradited to the United States, according to Livermore police. On Friday, U.S. Marshals extradited Tellez to California. Detectives from the LPS Criminal Investigations Bureau took custody of Tellez and transported him to Santa Rita Jail, where he is being held without bail on several charges, including murder.
