Suspect Named In Livermore Bowling Alley Triple Shooting

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police have named a suspect in a triple shooting at a bowling alley that killed one and injured two.

In a statement released Monday afternoon, police requested the public’s help finding 27-year-old Roger Aleman Garcia, also known as Roger Aleman. Police said that Aleman is a convicted felon with an “extensive” prior criminal history, including assault with a deadly weapon.

Garcia is suspected of fatally shooting 28-year-old Antonio de Vargas of Livermore on Saturday following an argument that broke out at the Granada Bowl, where several children and families were celebrating a birthday party. Police believe the suspect and the three victims knew one another.

After a physical brawl, Garcia allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Vargas and his 28-year-old friend, also of Livermore. Vargas died at the scene. Police immediately performed life-saving measures on the other two victims, who are said to be recovering at a nearby hospital. Police have not released any information on the other two victims.

The LPD’s Criminal Investigations Unit served several search warrants related to the shooting over the weekend. Police say the suspect, who fled immediately after the shooting, remains at large, and should be considered “armed and dangerous.”

Police said they will not release any more information about the case as the investigation is ongoing.

The Granada Bowl is reopening Monday at 4 with shortened hours.
