Suspected DUI Driver Extricated Following Livermore Crash
One of the two drivers involved remains hospitalized.

LIVERMORE, CA — Two people were hospitalized following a suspected DUI collision in Livermore Saturday night. The injury crash was reported on Arroyo near Wetmore Road at 11:35 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
A driver in a Mitsubishi Mirage was driving northbound on Arroyo Road when she allegedly allowed her vehicle to drift into the southbound lanes hitting an oncoming Mitsubishi Montero, according to the CHP.
The CHP said the driver, who had just left the Wente Winery and appeared to be intoxicated, had to be extricated from her car before being taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. She remains hospitalized, according to a CHP spokesperson. Her name has not been released.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Stanford ValleyCare Hospital in Pleasanton and was treated for minor injuries. The CHP says alcohol was a factor in this collision.
