'Taste Our Terroir' Wine Weekend Scheduled In Livermore
The three-day wine extravaganza offers everything from yoga and Rosé to 'secrets of a sommelier.'
LIVERMORE, CA — July is hot in Livermore, but being one of the wine capitals of the world can help cool things down.
Livermore Valley Wine Country will host the “Taste our Terroir” wine and food event from July 14-17. The well-known event will feature numerous wine tastings, a food and wine pairing competitions, educational hikes, a silent auction, and even a yoga class.
The weekend will kick off Thursday night at the Bella Rosa restaurant with a silent auction and food and wine pairing competition, where judges will determine the best combination. Competitors include Fenestra Winery and Oyo Restaurant, Garre Vineyard and Winery with Garre Café, and Las Positas Vineyards with Locanda Wine Bar. See here for a full list.

On Friday, guests can enjoy an educational trek through the vineyards at Murrietas Well, a cheese and wine pairing event at Fenestra Winery, a lecture on the history of the Cabernet Franc varietal, and a five course farm-to-table dinner paired with vintage wines from the Livermore Valley Vintners’ Collective.
Saturday will feature a bike tour of the Pedego Wine Trail, a Rosé tasting, a Cabernet vintage tasting, and a “secrets of a sommelier” lecture from LeAnn Kaufman.

Sunday will offer a yoga lesson at Concannon Vineyard followed by a Rosé wine tasting, a “sensory extravaganza” at Darcie Kent Winery aimed at “activating all your senses,” and a port and chocolate tasting.
