National Teacher Appreciation Day is today, Tuesday, May 8, and restaurants and stores are stepping up to offer exclusive deals and freebies on such goodies as movies, burritos, salads, pizza, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs on sticks, plus a wide array of retailer discounts.
