Sycamore Grove Park Closed For Prescribed Burn Tuesday, Wednesday

LIVERMORE, CA — Firefighters from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department will be assisting the Livermore Area Parks and Recreation Department with a vegetation management burn at Sycamore Grove Park on Tuesday and Wednesday, park officials said. The park will be temporarily closed during the fire.

Officials said the prescribed burn will help reduce the amount fuel in the park and will encourage growth of native plants and flowers, while providing training for firefighters.

Smoke from the fire may be seen throughout the Tri-Valley area. Sycamore Grove Park is located at 1051 Wetmore Rd. in Livermore.
