Treat Mom To Mother's Day In Livermore Valley Wine Country

LIVERMORE, CA – The wineries and vineyards in the Livermore Valley are pulling out the stops for Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13, with a wide array of planned events.

Mother's Day Brunch: Garré Vineyard & Winery. From 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. $48 per adult. "Treat Mom to a well deserved day off. ... partake in a delectable brunch to honor Mom."

Celebrate Mom At Wente Vineyards - Wine, Food & Music. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free, with food and wine available for purchase. Bring beach chairs and blankets, and enjoy music from The Peppermints.

Chocolate Truffle & Wine Pairing: Las Positas Vineyard. Indulge in the newest Chocolate Truffle and Wine Pairing Flight. Two days - Saturday and Sunday -- from 11:30 a.m. to 4: 30 p.m. The cost is $25 for general public and $10 for LPV Club members.

Mother's Day Picnic on the Patio at McGrail Vineyards. Pack a picnic, buy a bottle of wine and enjoy live music on the vineyard patio by Nick Tyrrel, and on the front lawn with music by Lindsey Tipton. 12 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m.

Annual Mother's Day Picnic & Music: Retzlaff Vineyards. Live music with the popular TUMBLEDOWN HOUSE, plus the annual hat competition for moms and their little ones. 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This event is a yearly sell-out, so book soon! $12.50 per person, 2 and under free.

Scone & Wine Pairing: McKahn Family Cellars. Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. "Top Knot Bake Shoppe has joined us once again for this popular scone & wine pairing. Tasting Flights are $15. Scone & cookie boxes are an additional cost. Make your reservations."

Picnic & Tastings & Truffles: Dante Robere Vineyards. Pack a picnic lunch and lounge on the lovely patio, while enjoying complimentary wine tasting. Truffles will be offered, too! 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. LexiKat port will be a special 20-percent off.

Mother's Day Weekend At BoaVentura de Caires Winery. Open all weekend 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. "Bring a picnic, buy some bottles and soak up the sun."

OR if you wish to head to Castro Valley: Mother's Day Concert: Chouinard Vineyards. This is a great place for a family picnic, and Dawn Coburn will be performing. Gates open at 12 p.m. Reservations are required.
