Tri-Valley Haven To Hold Pace For Peace Race Saturday

The race will feature prizes, gift baskets, free food, and even a bounce house.

LIVERMORE, CA — This Saturday, Tri-Valley Haven is hosting a Pace for Peace 25th anniversary 5K-10K Walk or Run fundraiser. Proceeds will help local individuals and families fleeing domestic abuse. The shelter is the only confidential domestic violence shelter in the Tri-Valley, and is looking to expand its capacity from 30 to 45 beds.

The race will take place on a new course that travels Robertson Park, the Arroyo bike trail, and through the vineyards. Participants will be eligible to receive age-group certificate awards, anniversary-edition finisher medals, and placement awards to 5K and 10K winners. Participants can also vote in the poster contest, and receive a free raffle ticket to receive a prize basket.

Trainers from V-Fitness will prepare participants with a pre-race Zumba workout. Refreshments such as water, coffee, donuts, fruit, trail mix and granola bars will be available for all. There will also be a bounce house for kids, and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department will bring a fire engine. Pets are welcome.
