LIVERMORE, CA —Tri-Valley Haven will open a new food pantry on North L Street in Livermore on Tuesday, the organization announced Wednesday.

The TVH Food Pantry, which has moved to 150 North L Street, distributes free, healthy groceries to low-income residents of the Tri-Valley area. Each month, the Haven provides free groceries and fresh produce to over 4,000 Tri-Valley residents, according to an organization news release. TVH says that it has seen a significant increase in need in recent years due to a rise in unemployment and rents, trends exacerbated by the pandemic.

Residents in need are invited to become a pantry client by filling out a brief, confidential application at the pantry site. Starting Tuesday, the pantry will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1-7 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 12-4 p.m.
