ValleyCare to Host 5th Annual Breast Cancer Symposium

Healing the Mind, Body and Spirit. Thursday, October 23, 5:30 – 8:30 pm!

ValleyCare Health System, along with Valley Medical Oncology Consultants will present a FREE Breast Cancer Symposium on Thursday, October 23, 5:30 – 8:30 pm at the Palm Event Center, 1184 Vineyard Avenue, Pleasanton.

“The Symposium is designed for cancer survivors, caregivers and those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer, as well as the general public concerned about breast cancer and its prevention.

“Master of Ceremonies will once again be Rakesh Patel, MD, co-chair of the ValleyCare Breast Program and medical director of the Targeted Radiation Institute at Valley Medical Oncology Consultants.

“Featured speakers include: Sandra Wing from the Sandra Wing Healing Foundation, BarbaraRoudebush, president of Tri-Valley SOCKs and Vera Packard, MD, executive director of HERS Breast Cancer Foundation. Also speaking will be:
Rishi Sawhney, MD, Cancer Program medical director who will speak on Advances in Breast Cancer – from DNA to Drugs.
Ruby Chang, MD, medical director of ValleyCare Diagnostic Imaging and co-chair of the ValleyCare Breast Program who will talk about Breast Cancer and Current Screening Recommendations.
