VIDEO: Springtown Turkey Conducts His Own Neighborhood Checkpoint
Watch Out, LPD! Just in time for the holidays, "Oscar" is back at it again in the streets of Livermore.

By AUTUMN JOHNSON
A well-known Livermore turkey was recently caught on video as he performed his usual morning beat check in Springtown. The threat of the looming Thanksgiving date doesn’t scare this tough turkey. This big boy has the giblets to keep the streets in his neighborhood safe.
If you live in the area of Bluebell, you likely know the turkey most residents call “Oscar.” Oscar, the unofficial crossing guard for Springtown, was introduced to us earlier this year by Livermore Patch reader reader Joanne Parker Massa. Watch as Oscar checks the car and driver in the video before moving aside to allow them to pass. In June, Oscar was spotted chasing a Livermore Police patrol car. Full story here.
