Will Livermore Get Its First Cannabis Farm?

The facility could sit on a 98-acre parcel about six miles from downtown Livermore, if approved by the county.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore could see its first cannabis farm if the Oasis Fund Livermore Grow Facility project is approved by Alameda County.

The proposed site, a 98-acre property six miles from downtown at 7031 Morgan Territory Road, could accommodate a 32,ooo-square-foot greenhouse with 22,000-square-feet of cannabis plants, plus a 5,040-square-foot processing building with plenty of room to spare. Some 20 or 30 employees may work there. The proposal includes rain harvesting infrastructure that could collect 400,000 gallons per year, for use in irrigation, cooling and other purposes, according to the proposal.

The county is currently seeking public feedback on an environmental impact study filed December 2019, as Pleasanton Weekly first reported. The study indicated that biological resources, geology and soils, hydrology and water quality, cultural resources, air quality and tribal cultural resources could be impacted by the project.
