Livermore: Woman Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle
A 26-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle Sunday in the 3800 block of East Avenue.

LIVERMORE, CA — Police are investigating a crash that killed a 26-year-old woman in Livermore, and witnesses are sought. The woman was attempting to cross the road in the 3800 block of East Avenue around 8:43 p.m. Sunday when a vehicle traveling westbound in the #2 lane hit her, according to Livermore Police Sgt. Steve Goard.
The woman was not in the crosswalk; the crash occurred approximately 100 feet east of the crosswalk, according to Goard.
The woman died from her injuries, Goard said.

The woman's identity has not been released by officials, but a GoFundMe site in the name of Yaneli Morales has been established.
Although the investigation is ongoing, DUI and/or speeding are not currently considered crash factors, Goard said.
