A woman who was killed in a collision on Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore last week has been identified by the Alameda County coroner’s bureau as 36-year-old Erica Halter of Dublin.
California Highway Patrol Officer Steve Creel said officers responded to reports of a multiple-vehicle collision on eastbound I-580 just east of Vasco Road at 3:07 p.m. Wednesday. Creel said it appeared that a pickup truck rear-ended a Jeep Cherokee, which overturned and caught on fire.

Halter was in the Jeep Cherokee that overturned, according to Creel. One person from the Honda Civic and another from a pickup truck were transported to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital with minor injuries, Creel said.
A Sig-alert was issued for all eastbound lanes on I-580 between North Livermore Avenue and Greenville Road for a short time after the accident.
