NatureTrack Film Festival Special Screening Series Presents “Small Creatures, Big Impact” Featuring

The NatureTrack Foundation, in partnership with the Santa Ynez Valley Grange #644 and the Women Winemakers & Culinarians Foundation, invites the community to a free evening of film, conversation, and connection to the natural world at the next installment of the NatureTrack Film Festival Special Screening Series.

The April screening, titled “Small Creatures, Big Impact,” will feature the acclaimed 89-minute documentary The Invisible Mammal, a compelling film that follows an all-women team of scientists working to save North American bats from white-nose syndrome, a devastating fungal disease that has killed millions of bats.

Blending science and storytelling, the film reveals the vital role bats play in ecosystem balance and human health, and why their survival matters. Timed to coincide with International Bat Appreciation Day, this screening offers a meaningful opportunity to better understand one of nature’s most overlooked and important creatures.

Following the film, guests are invited to stay for a Q&A with filmmaker Kristin Tieche and local bat biologist and bat rescuer Erika Noel.
