$10,000 Offered in Long Beach Hit/Run Death of Wheelchair User
The crash happened in February, but no arrest has been made.

The Board of Supervisors today renewed a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a hit-and-run motorist who fatally struck a 55-year-old Long Beach man in a wheelchair.
Supervisor Don Knabe, who recommended the reward, said the victim, Jose Guevarra, was crossing Santa Fe Avenue near Lincoln Street about 10 p.m. Feb. 13 when he was struck by a late-model green sedan, possibly a BMW. The driver sped away.
The victim was thrown from his wheelchair by the impact, according to Knabe, who called the case an “incredibly heinous crime.”
