Motorcyclist Going 130 MPH On Long Beach Freeway Arrested After Collision: CHP (patch.com) — A motorcyclist allegedly topping 130 mph on the Long Beach 710 Freeway and nearby Long Beach streets was tracked by CHP early Tuesday before crashing into a parked truck in Paramount. After briefly fleeing on foot, the suspect was arrested, highlighting dangerous overnight speeding through the Long Beach area.
3. Youth ages 18-30 can apply to Long Beach Public Service Corps (sigtrib.com) — Long Beach is accepting applications through June 9 for its Public Service Corps, offering paid fellowships and career development in city government for local residents ages 18 to 30. Eligible applicants include current seniors and recent grads from Cal State Long Beach and Cal State Dominguez Hills who live in Long Beach, with added support like transportation or clothing assistance for those facing financial hardship.
4. With social services stretched thin, nonprofit tries to make sure disabled North Long Beach residents have access (lbpost.com) — Disabled residents in North Long Beach will soon have easier in-neighborhood access to benefits help, mobility training, housing resources and more as the Disabled Resource Center expands hours at its Atlantic Avenue satellite site. Leaders say the move is crucial as Long Beach residents face economic strain and shrinking state and federal disability funding.

Day Trip 2026 Unveils Star Studded Lineup for Long Beach Return (latfusa.com) — A massive two-day Day Trip Festival is set to return to the Queen Mary waterfront in Long Beach on June 27–28, bringing house, disco, and techno heavyweights from around the world. Local fans 21 and over can snag GA and VIP tickets starting Friday, April 24, with more details on stages, food, and transportation coming soon.
