Serial Chain-Snatching Robbery Suspect Arrested In Long Beach: Police

LONG BEACH, CA — A man who allegedly snatched chain jewelry from around the necks of three victims in the same neighborhood on the same day last month in Long Beach has been arrested.

Robbery detectives have identified the suspect as Anthony Stevens, a 19-year-old Long Beach resident. He was arrested in Long Beach on Tuesday and transported to City Jail, where he was booked for robbery and possession of a loaded firearm.

Bail was set at $250,000, and he was freed on bond Thursday, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's online inmate records.
