LYNWOOD, CA — Authorities on Wednesday asked for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for snatching a necklace off a woman's neck while she was in her front yard.
Deputies from the Century Station responded to reports of the incident around 5:15 p.m. on April 27 near the 400 block of Agnes Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect confronted the victim while she was in her front yard, shoved her, and ripped a gold necklace from her neck, deputies said.
The suspect then fled north on Muriel Drive in a white SUV believed to be a Buick Encore, deputies said.
The suspect was described as a man or boy between 16 and 18 years old, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing roughly 160 pounds. Authorities said he had dreadlocks and was dressed entirely in black.
