Man Stabbed Victim After Trying To Steal His Car: Long Beach Police

The attacker fled before officers arrived at the scene, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man tried to steal a person’s car and then stabbed the victim early Monday morning in Long Beach, police said.

Officers responded around 2:10 a.m. to the 5300 block of Atlantic Avenue to find a man suffering from a stab wound to the upper body that was not life-threatening, according to police, who said the victim was treated at the scene.

A man had attempted to take the victim’s car and stabbed him after a brief verbal dispute, police said, adding that the attacker fled before officers arrived at the scene.
