MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A Long Beach teen tied to numerous large-scale thefts was recently busted leaving a shopping center in Manhattan Beach, police said.
Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress involving a habitual theft suspect and police saw her vehicle as it departed the retail area, the Manhattan Beach Police Department said Friday in a social media post.
Officers recovered over $2,000 in stolen clothing from Old Navy as well as stolen merchandise from Bath & Body Works, according to police, who said a loaded, unregistered gun was hidden among the stolen items.
An investigation revealed the 18-year-old woman was responsible for at least six more large thefts across Los Angeles and Orange counties, police said.
