LONG BEACH, CA — A person was killed Saturday morning during a fiery, single-vehicle crash on a freeway transition road in Long Beach, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 3:55 a.m. Saturday on a transition road connecting the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicle struck a center divider, overturned and caught fire, the CHP said.
A Sigalert issued at 4:19 a.m. closing the transition road was canceled at 7:44 a.m.
