Beaches Temporarily Closed Due To Thunderstorm In Long Beach
The Long Beach Fire Department Lifeguard Division said the beaches will likely be closed for one to two hours.
LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Fire Department Lifeguard Division temporarily closed city beaches on Tuesday due to thunderstorms that originated in Huntington Beach, officials said.
"The [storm] cell goes down toward San Clemente and is headed our way," LBFD Lifeguard officials said.
The beaches will be closed for one to two hours according to LBFD.

The National Weather Service forecasted a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
