Free Hands-Only CPR Training for Long Beach Community
Event Details
In Los Angeles County, only 31% of cardiac arrest victims receive bystander CPR, compared to a national rate of 41%. To help improve low bystander CPR rates in Long Beach, MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is teaming up with the Long Beach Fire Department to host a free, interactive Sidewalk CPR event on Friday, June 5. Attendees will rotate through training stations staffed by nurses and LBFD personnel, learning how to recognize cardiac arrest and deliver effective chest compressions in just minutes.
