Details Of CSULB's 2021 Commencement Ceremonies

Each college will host its own two-hour ceremony with separate degree conferrals for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021.

Cal State Long Beach will celebrate graduates from the Classes of 2020 and 2021 in unique, in-person and socially distanced ceremonies at Angel Stadium of Anaheim from Friday, May 28 to Monday, May 31. Each college will host its own two-hour ceremony with separate degree conferrals for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021.

Here’s a breakdown of the 2021 event details:

Friday, May 28

9:30 a.m.: College of Engineering

5 p.m.:College of Liberal Arts

Saturday, May 29

9:30 a.m.:College of the Arts

5 p.m.:College of Health & Human Services

Sunday, May 30

9:30 a.m.: College of Education

5 p.m.: College of Business

Monday, May 31

9:30 a.m.: College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics

Inside the stadium, graduates will step on and cross a platform before proceeding to their seats. The procession will be displayed on the jumbo screens.

There will be Graduate Recognition Stages throughout the parking lot outside the stadium. These microstages offer a unique opportunity for graduates to hear their names announced and to see their customized graduate slide displayed along with their guests. These stages will utilize the MarchingOrder professional name recording and graduate slides.

President Jane Close Conoley and the Executive Team will present and confer degrees at the ceremonies. Remarks will be given by distinguished speakers, outstanding graduates and deans. Although the Classes of 2020 and 2021 will share the same ceremony time, their degrees will be conferred separately.

At this time, each graduate will be provided a ticket for themselves and two tickets for guests to enter the stadium. All graduates will receive two parking passes and graduates will use the mobile-only entry ticketing system. Tickets will be provided to graduates via their @student.csulb.edu email address.
