Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey will honor a Long Beach man for his courageous action in detaining a purse snatcher, the DA's office said. Scott Beaubien, 47, along with five others will be recognized at a ceremony on Wednesday at the Queen Mary, according to a press release. Beaubien will be honored for helping another man detained a purse snatcher who dragged his victim across a parking lot as she was holding on to her bag, the release said.
