Ex-Water Polo Coach At Jordan High Accused Of Molestation
The former coach is accused of sexual battery and molestation cases dating back to 2021, LBPD said Tuesday.

LONG BEACH, CA — A former volunteer swim and water polo coach at Jordan High School was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexual battery and molestation during his time working at the school, LBPD said.
According to authorities, a young girl reported that her coach Micahel Quigley touched her inappropriately in October 2022. During the investigation of the girl's case, detectives said they identified additional victims with cases dating back to 2021.
Quigley, 74, was arrested on Monday and is accused of seven counts of sexual battery and seven counts of molesting a child under the age of 18. After his arrest, Quigley was transported to the Long Beach City Jail and his bail was set at $100,000, LBPD said.

Due to Quigley's previous employment in the Long Beach Unified School District, Detectives believe there may be additional victims. Any additional victims who wish to come forwards can contact Child Abuse Detective Denice Green at 562-570-7321.
