Following Strong Turnout, El Super Continues Hiring for Long Beach Store

LONG BEACH, CA — After a strong turnout resulted in 100-plus positions being filled earlier this month, El Super is continuing to hire for its new North Long Beach store.

Many positions for the new store remain open, according to the supermarket chain, including department managers and assistant managers, as well as skilled jobs such as meat cutters, bakers, cake decorators and cooks.

Applications are being accepted online until all positions are filled at https://elsupermarkets.com/careers/

Applications are also being taken on site Tuesday, April 14 and Thursday, April 16 from 9 am to 3 pm at El Super #1, 5702 Firestone Blvd., South Gate, CA 90280.

The opening of the new store, located at 2185 E. South St. in Long Beach is scheduled for May. It will be the chain’s first of 2026 and 17th location in the greater Los Angeles area.
