Originally posted at 7:43 a.m. March 7, 2014.Authorities today identified a man and woman who died in an apparent murder-suicide at their Long Beach residence.Officers found the bodies after being sent about 3:30 p.m. Thursday to investigate a call of unknown trouble at a home in the 5800 block of Rose Avenue, said Marlene Arrona of the Long Beach Police Department.Javier Perez, 47, and Kristie Michelle Perez, 43, had been shot, coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter said.The woman's death was reported as a homicide, and the man's death was reported as a suicide, Winter said.The pair lived at the location, and may have been married, Winter said.--City News Service
