Fuego Serves A Valentine’s Day Four-Course Dinner; Romantic Live Guitar To Serenade

Guests will receive a special rose, sway to the sweet sounds of live acoustic guitar music and enjoy numerous romantic fire pits

Guests are sweet on Hotel Maya, especially on Valentine’s Day as Fuego features a four-course sweetheart dinner on Tuesday, February 14 from 5-10 p.m.

Valentine’s Day guests will receive a romantic rose at their table and enjoy live entertainment to feature the lovable sounds of an acoustic guitar played by Luis Villegas.

Fuego, the modern, Latin infused indoor-outdoor restaurant and lounge, offers a unique seaside setting featuring 13-foot-tall glass walls that fully retract with seating inside and on the patio area. Fuego’s stunning open-air views include the Pacific Ocean, Long Beach skyline and Queen Mary.

“Fuego’s Valentine’s Day Dinner is a special affair replete with romantic roses, lovely music and chocolate for dessert,” said Kristi Allen, Vice President of Hotel Operations at Hotel Maya – a Doubletree by Hilton. “Hotel Maya also offers more fire-pits than any other hotel in Long Beach that create romantic waterfront spots for couples to enjoy the evening.”

For Valentine’s Day Dinner, Executive Chef Victor Juarez has prepared a four-course meal that begins with a choice of Silky Butternut Squash Bisque with truffled crema fresca, and chive oil; or Lobster Hummus Totopo with butter poached Maine lobster, rancho gordo bean hummus and smoked sausage.

The Sweetheart second course is a choice of Bouquet to my Heart with oak leaves and edible rose petals, candied pepitas, molten agave goat cheese, green pistachio and broken orange citrus vinaigrette; or Honeynut Ricotta and Shrimp with soft corn polenta tamal, honeycomb parsley glaze, and roasted chestnut crumble.

The Valentine’s Day Dinner entree includes the choice of Petit Filet Mignon and Scallop with roasted filet of beef, sweet butter poached scallop, porcini mushroom compound butter, gnocchi potatoes and braised Brussels sprouts; Pan-Roasted Lamb Chop with porto mint emulsion, boniato purée, sweet onion marmalade and herbed fried cauliflower; Red Velvet Passion Glazed Sea Bass with pan-roasted Chilean sea bass, pomegranate glaze, saffron risotto, wilted greens, mushrooms and heirloom tomatoes; or Melt My Heart with creamy rainbow Swiss chard, truffle butternut ravioli hearts and shaved manchego.

Fuego’s rich and decadent dessert features a Chocolate Heart for Two with liqueur scented sponge cake, chocolate ganache, fresh whipped cream, agave-cherries and caramel.
