The event provided a forum for guests to “hear from the leaders behind the area’s largest projects.” The two topic program featured the panel for “Long Beach Disruption, A New Urban Experience” which included participants from right to left, Moderator Alan Burks, Principal at Environ Architecture; Jan Robert van Dijs, Principal at JR van Dijs; Ryan Altoon, Executive Vice President at AndersonPacific; Alan Pullman, Founding Senior Principal of Studio One Eleven; Jeff Fullerton, Director at Edgemoor Infrastructure; and Kurt Schneiter, Principal at Maverick Investments.
The Bisnow event overview states: “Long Beach is becoming a true work-live-play environment. The revival commenced in the 90s with the completion of the Blue Line connecting DTLA [Downtown Los Angeles] with Downtown Long Beach. Since then, the city has seen explosive development, redevelopment and a slew of mixed-use projects that has transformed the city. Now with the rebound of the economy and ease of access to capital, the future has never looked brighter. With all of the mixed-use, residential and retail projects, located in downtown, near Douglas Park adjacent to the Long Beach Airport, and waterfront areas, the city is set to transform.”
