A fundraiser started by Gainer's grandmother, Delores Johnson, states that Gainer and Amber Delgado were dating. Brian Delgado was Amber's older brother.
"We are raising funds to help cover Caleb’s funeral costs and to support his mother as she grieves her son. The expenses that come with such a tragedy are overwhelming, and we want to ensure Caleb’s mother can honor him without the added stress of financial worries," a fundraising message on the site states.
