LA County To Host Mental Health Wellness Fair In Long Beach
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and in recognition of that, wellness fairs are scheduled for Long Beach, Lakewood and Paramount.
LONG BEACH, CA — May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and in recognition of it, a wellness fair is set for May 12 at Long Beach City College.
Other events are scheduled for Lakewood and Paramount later in the month.
The first of the resource and wellness fairs is set for 11 am-2 pm Tuesday, May 12 at Long Beach City College's main campus, located at 4901 E. Carson St.

The event includes free food, music, and giveaways; free mental health resources; and meditation and other wellness activities, according to the LA County Department of Mental Health.

An additional event is scheduled for May 22 and 23 at Lakewood Mall, and a youth-focused fair is set for May 29 at Paramount Park Middle School in Paramount.
