LBUSD: SDSU Partnership Offers Credential

The Preliminary Administrative Services Credential program is only available to those who already hold a master's degree.

The Long Beach Unified School District’s Equity Leadership and Talent Development department has partnered with San Diego State University to offer a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential or Master of Arts in Pre-K-12 Educational Leadership.

The Preliminary Administrative Services Credential program is only available to those who already hold a master’s degree. Students enrolled in the MA Educational Leadership program will complete coursework required for the administrative credential, nine additional research units and an action research project.

Admission requirements include a bachelor’s degree, California Clear Credential and four years of credentialed experience. The program follows a cohort model and provides opportunities to present before district level leaders from numerous districts. Classes are conveniently offered off-campus and with the option of evening or weekend sessions blended with online learning components.

A one-hour Zoom information session is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1. No reservation is required. The deadline to apply to the program is Monday, March 1. Learn more here.
