Long Beach Board of Water Commissioner Elects New Officers

The new officers will serve from October 2016 through September 2017 in Long Beach.

LONG BEACH, CA – The Long Beach Board of Water Commissioners elected officers for president, vice president and secretary at a special Board meeting.

For the upcoming year, Art Levine will serve as the president; Robert Shannon as vice president, and Harry Saltzgaver as secretary. Officers will serve from October 2016 through September 2017.

Commissioner and immediate past-president Frank Martinez congratulated the incoming president, Art Levine, noting, “Many congrats to my friend and colleague. I’m honored to pass the Board presidency to Art. He is a dedicated civic leader, with a large presence in our city. I know he will exemplify exceptional leadership in Long Beach and beyond.”

“Thank you to my fellow Board members for this vote of confidence,” said President Levine. “I’m delighted to carry on the good work of past-president Frank Martinez and to continue the Department's legacy of leadership in water conservation and innovation.”
