Long Beach Chamber and YMCA Rally For Holiday Toys On December 1

The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is joining with the Long Beach YMCA to rally their guests to bring unwrapped toys to its annual Holiday Mixer, hosted by “At The Top” located Downtown at 105 W. Broadway on Thursday, December 1 from 5:30-8 p.m. Live entertainment will be provided by 80s tribute band Knyght Ryder.

“We are grateful to be able to assist the Long Beach YMCA to bring much needed toys for their members and families during the holidays,” said Jeremy Harris, President and CEO of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “We also look forward to celebrating the holidays with our Chamber members and team, and guests.”

The Chamber has been proudly serving the Long Beach Area Community since 1891 and functions as the catalyst for business growth, a convener of leaders and influencers, and a champion for a stronger community.

"Giving a toy to a child at an event like this, is like planting trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit. There's a depth of meaning that we can bring to our lives when we act for something greater than ourselves,” said Andrea Sulsona, Executive Director at YMCA of Greater Long Beach. “We all can think back to a toy that made us extremely happy as a child and being able to pay it forward is truly rewarding."

Founded in 1884, YMCA of Greater Long Beach is the oldest and largest organization serving youth, teens, adults and families in the greater Long Beach area.

The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Long Beach YMCA Holiday Mixer is open to the public, tickets are $20 for Chamber members and $40 for future Chamber members. Event sponsors are At The Top and TABC Toyota sponsors.
