Long Beach Doctor Sent Porn To Child, Police Allege
An undercover LAPD detective was posing online as a 16-year-old girl when the doctor allegedly initiated contact.

LONG BEACH, CA – A Long Beach doctor charged with allegedly sending pornographic images to an undercover police detective posting as a teenage girl is set to be arraigned Wednesday. Jonathon Hagar Ellis, 35, is charged with four felony counts of distributing or showing pornography to a minor, along with one misdemeanor count of arranging to meet a minor for lewd purposes.
Ellis allegedly initiated contact with an undercover Los Angeles Police Department detective who was posing online as a 16-year-old girl. He allegedly sent lewd photos and messages and tried to meet her in person for sexual activities despite her supposed age.
Ellis was arrested April 11 and subsequently released on an $85,000 bond. If convicted as charged, he could face up to six years in custody, according to the District Attorney's Office.
