Long Beach Gas Prices Continue to Drop

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday to its lowest amount since Jan. 31, falling eight-tenths of a cent to $3.887.

In Long Beach, the average price is $3.904, down 7.3 cents from a week ago, 18 cents lower than last month and 21 cents lower than last year, according to AAA.

Countywide the average price has decreased for 29 consecutive days and is 6 cents lower than one week ago, 21.8 cents lower than one month ago and 22.8 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased 23.3 cents over the past 29 days, including nine-tenths of a cent on Friday.

The Orange County average price also dropped to its lowest amount since Jan. 31 today, falling four-tenths of a cent to $3.858. It is 6.3 cents less than one week ago, 23.2 cents lower than one month ago and 23.9 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has decreased for 28 consecutive days, falling 24.5 cents over that span, including a half-cent on Friday.
