A total of 94 suspects with felony warrants have been arrested & 26 illegal firearms have been recovered in Long Beach in 2026, police say.
LONG BEACH, CA — A total of 94 suspects with felony warrants have been arrested and 26 illegal firearms have been recovered in Long Beach in 2026, police say.
The arrests and seizures were the work of the Long Beach Police Department's High Crime Focus Team, which is dedicated to reducing violent crime in the city, the LBPD said in a social media post that showcases some of the weapons that have been taken off the streets.
In the post, the Police Department said that the accomplishments were made due to "proactive enforcement, focused patrols, and ongoing community engagement."

"Community engagement is a key part of the team's mission, helping officers connect with residents, build trust and work collaboratively to enhance neighborhood safety," the LBPD said in a statement.
