LONG BEACH, CA — The Long Beach Police Department arrested a man in relation to the murder of his former girlfriend's new partner, which occurred Monday morning according to police.

Officers received a call at 10:25 a.m. on Oct. 3 that reported 28-year-old Ocasis Ku of Long Beach was shot inside of his home. Ku was transported to a local hospital upon the officers' arrival, where he later died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Homicide detectives later found that the suspect, 38-year-old Dany Hernandez of Los Angeles, shot Ku after forcing his way into the victim's and Hernandez's former partner's home unannounced, according to the LBPD.
