Long Beach Taco Stand Vendor Targeted By Racial Insults: Report

Neighbors defended the owner of Tacos Lionydas as a man directed racist attacks toward him and his customers.

LONG BEACH, CA — A Long Beach taco vendor had racial insults shouted at him and his customers by the same man many times over the course of two months, as reported by KTLA.

A viral video caught the man threatening to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and making several other vulgar comments at Tacos Lionydas on the corner of Atherton Street and Clark Avenue on Aug. 2.

“I was scared in the beginning. It was my first couple of days, I didn’t think he was going to let me sell. Then after two weeks he started to scare my customers and scare us,” owner Lionel Perez said.
