Man Shot During Street Takeover In Long Beach
Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man was shot Sunday morning at a street takeover in Long Beach, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched at 1:35 a.m. Sunday to the 6600 block of Downey Avenue, a few blocks west of Lakewood Boulevard and south of the Artesia (91) Freeway, regarding a street takeover and a shooting, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital. Authorities said he was suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body, and had stable vital signs.
Police said deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were first on the scene.

"Suspect information, circumstances of the shooting, and motive remain under investigation," the LBPD added.
